Rants

Oh yeah, I hear ya. The local Walmart has a bbq display and coolers of all things!!!

COOLERS when it's -15 C outside. Go figure.:rofl::doh:

Maybe I'll throw some snow from their parking lot snowbank into a cooler for a summer snowball fight.

That must mean it's time to go shopping for summer shorts and s#&*t...:blarg:

14:53 GRANDE PRAIRIE Item being prepared for transfer to Post Office.
13:40 GRANDE PRAIRIE Attempted delivery. Notice card left indicating where item can be picked up.
08:02 GRANDE PRAIRIE Item processed at local delivery facility

No Canada Post you sure didn't attempt delivery nor leave a card indicating where I am suppose to pick it up. :angry2:

I had CP put a package in the wrong neighbourhood box and then put the key in the wrong persons mail box, then mark it as delivered when I had my condo. That was fun to get sorted, but it was worked out...

Hope you get it sorted.

Now I am even more mad. So the mail carrier just now delivered my mail, including the missed delivery slip. So that means that had zero intentions to even attempt delivery of the parcel as the mail carrier would have had to have the slip this morning when she first set out. Canada Post is pathetic. :angry2:

I had this problem when I was living in Fredericton, both locations, the guy would say he tried to deliver it and the 'slip' always showed up in the mail the day later. The funny thing was, someone was always home at the time he said he tried to deliver it. Called up CP several times, usually resulted in my next parcel being properly delivered then not.

My rant about shipping companies,

Canada Post, Purolator, Fedex, and DHL doesn't do 2nd and 3rd attempt deliveries, UPS does. I pay for shipping and they better deliver it to my doorstep.

I've never had UPS make multiple tries. It's always 1 try and a slip.

With every company it seems (to me) like it really just depends on your local delivery guy. When I was in downtown Edmonton the FedEx and UPS guys were a disaster and Purolator and CP were awesome. In the river valley by the Muttart, Canada post was decent, everyone else was terrible.

Now that I'm on the south side, I've struck it lucky. The CP lady for our building/area is fantastic and UPS has also been really good. Purolator's guy has been pretty good and I've stopped using FedEx entirely haha. FedEx in Edmonton is especially annoying since there's only one pickup depot on the very Southeast edge of the city that doesn't have great hours.
