I should really hope manufacturers have a decent quantity on hand for RMA purposes, but you never know.

Worst part is that the card you linked to isn't in stock, and the "similar" one referenced isn't $450, it's $500.

Something is going to have to give. It was bad enough when memory was silly expensive, but at least it was available. Not only does this make it damn near impossible to build a PC with a discrete vid card, it (as in your case) also makes it virtually impossible to repair existing ones.

Just learned that Paderno sold out to Canadian Tire, no wonder I can't find accessories for my pot set anymore. Wanted a 12" pan lid and was wondering why it was so hard to find anything besides full sets. They might still be made in PEI (some sets maybe) but I'm sure as hell not buying another set.

And you wonder why restrictions are being put in place.

Prices make no fcuking sense. Even the older GTX9 series which I would not mind. Jeez, if any of you have have 960s, 970s or 980s on hand, unused and with an asking price where my left testicule is not involved, I'm listening.

Though I won't be back Home for a few weeks still, it pisses me off that my main rig may remain offline for quite some time. Heck, I may buy a GT1030 just so it can power up and run the fluids....

You should take a look at your local Value Village, someone may have donated an older pan with the lid or just the lid itself. It is or will be hit/miss though.

Paderno's been at Canadian tire for a long time if I remember correctly.

Have you tried one of their outlets? They still sell a lot of the premium tri-clad lines there and carry a wide assortment of stuff.

Personally I love my paderno stuff. Admittedly though all my stuff is the tri-ply construction. They've got a few 'Made in china' lines like the copperbottoms that look stellar, but don't perform as nice now.

Apparently the parent company "Padinox" and the Paderno brand was sold to Canadian tire but the manufacturing and distribution were sold to the cookware giant Meyer - not sure how that all works but they are still manufacturing on the Island for now.
