    Found an old LTC Wallet

You might have to use an older version of the client to convert it to a newer format, before using the latest client. Teh instructions here are for Bitcoin Core/Bitcoin-QT, but process should be similar (I would try --upgradewallet comandline option, if it exists, first)...

nVidia tells partners to restrict # of cards they sell to one person

Its not so much nVidia, they will build and sell as many GPUs as the AIBs want, its the AIBs don't want to risk it.

    Intel bungles big time!

I dunno if this has been posted here or not, but pretty interesting - graphs of performance hits experiences on various services; https://imgur.com/a/zYRap Looks like anything that heavily uses UDP, or high memory IO (PostgreSQL, redis, etc) is pretty badly hit

    Intel bungles big time!

Appears its mostly latency IO bounded applications which are being affected - anything with large storage or IO needs, like SQL databases, SANs, etc and such. Games, despite what people might think are not latency IO bounded. It looks to be no real performance impact from a gaming perspective.

    Intel bungles big time!

Meltdown only affects Intel, and Meltdown is the one where mitgations/patches will cause performance degration. Specture is actually in many ways worse though, while their may not be much of a performance hit from patching it. What makes these exploits really nefarious? EVERYTHING needs to be...

anyone heard anything on the coming Mac Mini refresh?

    The end is nigh....

FYI - this is just based on my readings of what others in the industry have said, I am an idiot that knows nothing about the retail industry as I'm not in it. I think It doesn't actually make a huge difference to EVGA profit margins, if anything it reduces them slightly, its literally just a...

    Rants etc.....

Thats so... odd? My coverage has some odd restrictions for preventive care (cleaning only covered every 9 months), but its just a flat 80% whatever dentist charges them until I hit my yearly coverage limit Sucks in anycase

Wow, $300 seems cheap, your lucky that's all the damage it did. Any clue why? Did you get your winters on recently and whomever did it didn't properly tighten, or re-tighten at 50km?

    The end is nigh....

Surrey and Langley will continue to be open for the moment - NCIX has been looking to close them as well, but haven't been able to exit their leases. Actually the only reason the other locations are closing is because the Canada Computers took over the current leases at those locations (I'm...
